It all started with Detroit, a passion for photography, and the love of a good bar. The result was Watering Holes: Your Guide to Detroit's Bars, Pubs, and Taverns. After thousands of copies sold, Mike Kline expanded the concept, visiting every bar in Ann Arbor to create the sequel. Between the two guides, well over 300 establishments were visited by the author.
Each of the books is organized by neighborhood, color-coded for easy reference, and have a full page dedicated to each establishment. The information within goes beyond the bar, covering the food offered, the regular activities they host, and various other amenities.
The Detroit guide has 170 full-color pages detailing the bars of Detroit and is currently completely SOLD OUT and unavailable.
